Binary is still the most-deployed plan globally because it's simple to explain and pairs well with fast-start bonuses. Unilevel is rising, particularly for product-driven MLMs where retention matters more than recruitment burst. The fastest-growing pattern is hybrid: binary fast-start plus unilevel residual, with rank-advancement bonuses overlaid. Single-plan structures are increasingly rare above $5M GMV because compensation plan evolution is hard to support without hybrid capability in the underlying platform.
