What is a Board / Cycle Plan?

Board plans group distributors into fixed-size positions on a "board." Common configurations are 3-position boards or 5-position boards. When all positions fill, the top position cycles out with a payout, and the cycled-out distributor re-enters at the bottom of a new board.

The mechanic creates bursts of group activity around board completion. As a board nears capacity, the upline pushes hard to recruit the final positions, because completion triggers everyone's payout. Networks running board plans see characteristic activity patterns that follow board cycles rather than calendar months.

Software complexity is where board plans separate the serious platforms from the rest. Tracking board membership, handling cycles correctly when distributors get suspended mid-board, computing payouts at board completion, and handling the re-entry mechanics requires more than a basic data model.
